The lodge at 3Gs Ranch looks like a big red barn. It sits on a concrete slab that is 75' wide and 125' long. It may look like a barn but it is a hunting lodge second to none!

The bedrooms for guests have king size beds with the best sleeping mattresses that money can buy. The bed rooms have a private bath and furniture nice enough to go into anyone's home.

The dining room, kitchen, sitting room and fireplace areas are in a 50' long by 50' wide area and is so comfortable and homey that it makes you want to stay longer than the hunt. The trophy animals that have been mounted and hang on the walls remind you that this is really a hunting lodge. The walls that are partly covered by trophies from 3GS Ranch as well as from Canada, Africa and many of the states in the U S. The walls are 16' tall at the eaves and 26' at the peak of the ceiling. The roof overhang covers 25' wide and 125' long.

The collection of arrow heads, tomahawks and Indian relics remind you of our by gone historic era. After all this is Cherokee County Texas, home area of the Texas Cherokee Indians in our historical past. It is about 10 miles North to the Killough Monument and the Killough Massacre that was carried out by Indians in 1838 and was the largest single depredation in East Texas History. Eighteen members of the Killough family were killed of carried off on October 5, 1838. The Killough Monument area is fenced and a historical monument is maintained on that site by a trust established by the Killough family.
